Ok.  So Christmas has come and gone.  It kinda sucked, but I guess it could have been worse.  I got lots of money to buy myself a new wardrobe, since after losing 25 lbs, I can't fit into anything I own anymore.  I've been talking a lot to my new friend Steve, and he has been a godsend to my sanity.  I am hanging out a lot with Amanda.  It's so good to have a friend like her.  It gets me away from the real world for a while to go over there and hang out with her, Andy, and Chad.  They are such fun people.  I have been home for the last few days, and I cannot WAIT to get back to Lancaster!  I don't know how much more of this I can take.  I miss my friends.  Amanda is coming to visit on Friday.  I'm hoping to talk Steve into coming down to hang out with us too.  I am having a New Years party at my house, and again, anyone reading this who ACTUALLY knows me is invited to come.  It's nothing spectacular...just a time to gather with friends and have a good time.  just call my cell or IM me to find out more and to let me know if you are coming.  Joanna or Ryan, call my cell for details.  Other than that, nothing spectacular is going on.  I am thinking of moving up north, as the job prospects up there are more promising than those in Lancaster, and I just need to get away and be on my own...away from all the families that I do love...don't get me wrong...but I just want to stand on my own 2 feet for once.    Things are changing so fast...and the biggest change is yet to come.  ANd it's going to be one of the hardest changes I've ever had to make.  but time will heal all...and hopefully things will turn out alright.  Anyway...enough of my ramblings.  Leave some love for me!

Till next time....

So it's been almost 2 months. And what a long 2 months it's been... I hate my job! I need to get out of it!!! I wouldn't leave the kids halfway through the year though...they need all of the structure and security they can get. And I do love each and every one of them...don't get me wrong...the program itself is what is so frustrating. grrr...

Some good things have come out of it though. I've started hanging out with one of my co-teachers, Amanda, and her friends. SHe even takes me to visit her family and friends back home every once in a while, which is nice. Her friend Steve is really neat too. He's a blast to hang out with. I'll be going with her to Wilkes Barre in about two-and-a-half weeks to help her and her family bake Christmas cookies...not that I can have any...hehehe...but that's ok, cuz I'm still losing weight! 21.5 pounds now! Woo hoo!!

I am still riding the horses, although the past few weekends have been hectic, and I've only been able to go once, and after this coming weekend, I won't be able to go again until after the new year. I also finally got a little sister from Big Brothers Big Sisters. She's neat. We're gonna bake brownies this friday and then go to the BBBS Christmas party on Saturday.

Finally, the biggest news is the newest addition to our family! On November 2, we adopted Colonel, a one year old Beagle/Basset mix. I love him! he is so adoreable and loveable! Although, he seems to have forgotten that he is housebroken. He's getting better at it though! We got him through www.castawaycritters.org. I highly reccommend the site to anyone thinking about adopting a pet. If you wanna see pics of him, just IM me and I'll see what I can do.

Anyway...it's 9:30 pm, and I am exhausted beyond belief...so I am going to head to bed.

Oh! I almost forgot! I am having a christmas party on December 10!! If you're interested in coming, give me a call! You are invited (if I know you anyway )

GOODNIGHT!

Ok.  So it's been a little since I updated.  Last time, I didn't even know it had posted, since the site was giving me some problems.  I've had the kids for 2 weeks now.  This week starts the third week.  I am SOOOOO tired!!!  It's been...oh...20-21 years since I was expected to have the energy of a 3 and 4 year old.  It's exhausting work!  And I've been bitten 4 times by the same child!  But through it all, I still like my job.  I definitely don't think it is where I am going to stay for the next 30-some-odd years.  In fact, with any luck, I won't stay there past this year.  I need a real teaching job.  But the money and the benefits aren't too bad.  Not what I'd make in a district...but what can I say.  Money is money however you can get it.

I've also taken up horseback riding.  I love that!  A lot!  Any Saturday afternoon, you can find me out at the barn.  It is my favorite place.  I feel so relaxed there.  The horses make me happy.  I haven't been all that happy lately, since Brandon seems to want to be anywhere but where I am.  I have tired to get him to do things with me and take initiative, but it just seems like he doesn't care.  *sigh*  Oh well...

I still love the horses!
